The Library of the Institute of Mathematics is a dynamic academic hub, dedicated to serving the Faculty’s teaching staff, students, pupils, and all seekers of knowledge. With a mission to support excellence in education and research, the Library provides a rich collection of resources and services tailored to the academic programs offered across all three cycles of study at the Institute.
Its holdings include approximately 25,000 books and 600 titles of scholarly journals, amounting to nearly 65,000 individual issues. All journals are meticulously catalogued in the COBISS electronic database, ensuring seamless access and efficient information retrieval. By combining tradition with modern technology, the Library stands as a cornerstone of academic life—empowering learning, fostering discovery, and inspiring innovation.
During the first 20 years of its existence, the book signatures in the Library were assigned according to the following classification of fields given in the table below. After that period, book signatures have been entered according to their format (dimensions). Periodical journals have signatures according to the country and format.

The services of the Mathematics Library are mainly reserved for the students and teaching staff of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, but its services and facilities are also used by students from other faculties. The Library also includes a reading room with 25 seats, as well as internet access (1 computer).
The Library's working hours are from 8:00 to 15:30 every working day.

Among the literature recommended to students during their studies are textbooks by domestic authors (see Publications).
The Library offers the following services: borrowing books, borrowing journals, acquiring articles, providing information, activities related to the technical preparation of publications from the IM publishing activity, as well as exchanging journals from this activity (see Publications).
